Rankin
Rankin is mainly a portraiture photographer but as I was going through his pictures I noticed he used the street life for some of his photos. I think this adds an edge to his work as well as looking amazing and effective. Every picture is different and has their own effect, for example the use of portraiture photos every photo is mixed from not looking at the camera to being in poses also the diffferent use of coloured to black and white images. Also the way he captures the expression and doing things out side of the norm, this is where the images in the street are used, like the man being on fire, in the center of the image, you wouldn't see that in everyday life. As well as the images that look like it wasn't coming from a hand held camera, it was from a CCTV camera capturing the criminals in movement. This photographer has given me a lot of different ideas about locations i could use, and has opened up new directions I could take with my work.
